AEFS has the expertise, experience and knowledge with material handling equipment you are seeking. It maintains and completes preventive maintenance on material handling equipment for over 40 miles of conveyors and associated material handling equipment for sort facilities, hubs and station locations. AEFS also has managed over 120 material handling installations across the continental United States.

AEFS has an established, nationwide business support network of over 200 conveyor distributors and service providers. Core competencies include custom design of conveyor projects as well as administering maintenance service contracts.

The AEFS staff has experience with rebuilding, remodeling and modifying conveyor systems using either refurbished or new components. It can install and integrate existing conveyor systems with new components to build a modified conveyor system or expand an existing conveyor system. AEFS has extensive knowledge in removing material handling equipment from an old facility and installing it in a newer facility—making it a seamless transition.

• Age based maintenance – maintenance actions we can perform on a regular basis determined by the age of your material handling equipment. Based on running hours, tonnage handled, production throughput and/or miles traveled.
  
  
• Calendar based maintenance – maintenance actions we can perform on a regular basis determined by expired calendar time. Depending on your operational times this can be annual, bi-annual, or quarterly shutdowns to perform statutory work on your conveyors and associated material handling equipment.
  
  
• Scheduled overhauls – maintenance we can do on your material handling equipment that completely reconditions your conveyors to good-as-new condition as is possible.
  
  
• Scheduled replacement – the item (sub-assembly or component) is discarded and replaced by a new unit.
  
  
• Routine services – your conveyors and associated material handling equipment receives a service during which routine checks are made, oils/filters added or changed, lubrications are done and adjustments made.
  
• Block replacement – these are similar components of your material handling equipment that have common failure frequencies. Where the cost of lost production plus the labor costs might far exceed replacing a component or a block of components and the risk of even loosing a customer.
  
  
• Opportunistic maintenance – this type of preventative maintenance on conveyor systems and associated material handling is important scheduled work that we would carry out in the event your facility would be down for other reasons. Typically where the continuous operation of your material handling equipment is critical and/or the loss incurred during facility downtime is severe. Scheduled work during your downtime and we would execute when the opportunity arises.
